Chelates in touch with nature

How do chelates work?

In a nutshell, chelates are compounds in which the organic compound is bound to a metal ion. Their name derives from the Greek word chele, meaning the crab’s claws, and refers to the chelate production process, i.e. chelation, during which the metal cation is captured by the “claws” of the ring structure which is hard to break by other substances. Hence chelates are microelement organic compounds effectively supplementing deficiency of elements ensuring correct development of the organism and improving animal health. Research has confirmed the beneficial impact of application of chelates, primarily due to their complete bioavailability.

Where can our biotechnological products be used?

Our biotechnological products, including in particular the chelates can be used in almost every industrial process that demands water use, where thanks to their properties it is possible to control the presence of individual ions. They are used in areas such as:

  • production of medicines and dietary supplements,
  • agriculture,
  • food and feed production,
  • food preservation,
  • mining processes,
  • production and biogas processing,
  • production of cosmetics and detergents,
  • construction,
  • manufacture of paper.

This innovative method allows to create modern and effective combinations with a wide range of applicability, more stable and efficient than standard specimens, of proven quality (very high degree of chelation has been confirmed by authorized laboratories, among others by PCBC). Our chelates are biodegradable. We flexibly adapt to the individual needs of Clients, enabling the composition of products for specific orders.

Feed grade Chelates – The Power of Microelements

The conducted research emphasizes the beneficial influence of chelate usage, mostly because of their almost complete assimilation. Organic forms of minerals (chelates) consist of metal atoms which link and bond with compounds such as protein hydrolyzate or single amino acids. During the process of chelation, the mineral particles are neutralized (they are no longer electrically charged), so they do not cause inactivation of vitamin C, E and B-group vitamins. Binding these molecules to amino acids, removes the antagonisms between minerals given in the organic form. Chelates are absorbed by the body of an animal in a manner characteristic of amino acids, which are associated with minerals. It significantly speeds up and facilitates the absorption of micronutrients and this allows them to reach directly into areas where there is the greatest shortage.

These compounds are almost completely bioavailable (very high degrees of chelation confirmed by authorized laboratories), which allows a reduction of the micronutrient dose while increasing its absorption by the animal, thus greatly improving production results. Many of our chelates are biodegradable

Currently we offer three product lines of feed chelates, these are:

  • Chelmax and L – Chelmax (chelates based on amino acids that come from protein hydrolysis),
  • Glystar and Glystar Forte (chelates based on glycine),
  • Methionates (chelates based on methionine).

Fertilizer chelates

We recommend a new generation of fertilizers, manufactured using biotechnology, ie, chelates, and nutritional formulas containing chelates (minerals given in the organic form). Innovative production methods ensure that our chelates quickly and effectively respond to the real needs of the plants.

Efficiency and Ecology – chelates are compounds crucially important for agriculture. Suitable organic compounds combine them with a metal ion. This construction guarantees faster penetration through cell membranes of plants and almost complete assimilation of nutrients – much better than in standard specimens (very high degrees of chelation confirmed by authorized laboratories, PCBC among others). Thanks to this, the supplied components do not reach the soil and do not cause environmental pollution.

Reliability – the absorption of minerals from the soil may be limited by their low chemical stability. Innovative technology has allowed the obtainment of stable compounds in a wide range of pH, resistant to external factors, very well-assimilated and preserving effectiveness in times of difficulty in absorbing nutrients. Chelates can be used to fill the gaps in mineral deficiency in an interventional way (eg, Actipolchelate line of EDTA, DTPA, EDDHA and EDDHSA).

Performance and convenience – the use of chelate products provides better ingredient usage. It also allows reductions in the quantity of product usage in relation to more traditional products. A unique, balanced composition works in different areas and provides the appropriate dose of minerals to crops using a single product (ActiPlon, ActiMag).

Quality and innovation – we create our own recipes of fertilizers using the best components. We constantly monitor the production process and continuously improve our product.
